Orochi

Ok, gang!
I'm doing a performance at the Japan Society this coming Saturday at 7:30pm. There is a special screening of the 1925 silent Chambara (lots of histrionic fighting) film “Orochi”.
As was traditional during the days of silent film in Japan, the film will be accompanied by what's known as a Benshi (a narrator who introduces characters, acts out scenes etc). What is not traditional is that I will be an English language Benshi on Saturday. I’ve never done this before, but I’m working, this week, with an actual Japanese Benshi who’s here in New York to do some authentic Benshi performances as part of the same series, so hopefully it’ll be a rocking good time on Saturday night. Come for the show, or come for the moral support (I'm probably going to need it)!
All the info you need is at:

Hope to see you there!

I wish I could be there. I'm sure you will make a good Benshi.

See, it's moments like this where being in sunny LA in February has it's drawbacks. Rock out Leon! I would SO be there, but that 2500 miles is a bitch to get thru in traffic.
