This spring, in Montréal, Canada, I will be creating and directing a play from interviews with refugees and Québécois on the themes of cultural belonging, identity, and concepts of "home." So I am curious if there are any actors here in Montréal who are trained in Viewpoints and/or Suzuki and who would like more information about this upcoming project. It will be a bilingual project (French and English), but actors do not need to be fluent in both languages.
I've never responded to a post before... so I hope this works. I am an actor trained some time ago in the methods you seek. I was at the conservatory at Trinity Rep when Anne B. helped the company. I too worked with Tina L., albeit awhile ago. Unfortunately, I do not live in Montreal (NYC resident), but I am of French Canadian descent and have always wished to create/perform in the language of my "home." I am not fluent, but I did grow up in a bilingual home. I also understudied August: Osage at the Music Box before you moved in with Superior Donuts. It is you who A.D.'d, yes? We intersect... um, once removed kinda. I do not know if my participation in this project is possible, but you have my interest. My email is: email@example.com
Thanks for your time, and best of luck with the project,
